Portrait Q1
This is my portfolio for my exam question work which will expand and improve my work with portrait and also have completely different styles, shoots and edits from my previous venture.
This photo is a lot less impactful as he is smiling but he is looking directly at the camera so it makes it less natural. Another thing is I haven't spaced it well. There is potential for leading lines and things behind him to line up and accentuate him and his features through contrast but I haven't lined them up like that. The shutter speed must have quite low around 1/4 because it looks like there's slight motion blur in his facial expressions meaning that even the slightest movements have been blurred. This image isn't as aesthetically pleasing and there isn't a lot drawing you in and making you want to look at it.

Shepard Fierey is a graphic designer who started out doing small stickers such as one of andre the giant which he thought would be funny to make it quite mysterious that people tried to figure out the meaning to even though there was no meaning. This meant that people that knew that could laugh at people that didn't known but soon after he started getting more political and actually adding meaning to his posters and stickers which made him gain traction. He had a "bold iconic style that is based on styling and idealizing images." Hes most known for his most famous work which was of Barack Obama with "HOPE" underneath him. The reason it was so popular is because it won him the election and its a photo that everyone links with him. He just took a photo of him in a pose that JFK was famous for in a different photo then put him in his iconic style.
